March 21 Update

Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and supportive community, the Holly Springs Food Cupboard remains open.

Last Thursday, March 19, 90 clients were served as we converted our food distribution into a drive-through pick up, allowing for physical distancing. Volunteers made 24 deliveries to homes where clients age 60+ or with health conditions requested the service, which allows those most at risk to stay home. 

We are so grateful for the numerous offers to help as we prepare for this week’s distribution. Our number one need is food, in particular:

  • Shelf-stable milk
  • Canned meats in pop-top containers
  • Crackers in sleeves (Ritz, Saltines, etc.)
  • Soup
  • Cereal
  • Jelly
  • Broth
  • Sides, such as scalloped potatoes and rice dishes
  • Toilet paper
  • Eggs
  • Milk

Many of these items are used in our track-out bags for students without access to school breakfasts and lunches.

Preferred food donation hours are Monday, 9-11 a.m. The Cupboard also can receive food donations Thursdays, noon-5 p.m.
