May 3 Update

Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and generous community, the Holly Springs Food Cupboard remains open.

The Holly Springs Food Cupboard is serving an increasing number of new clients and families in need.

In April, we served 243 families – a 56% increase over April 2019. Of those families served, 75 received food deliveries from the Cupboard. Deliveries are offered to people with health or age concerns. The Cupboard also distributed 246 track-out bags last month. The bags provide kid-friendly foods to families with children who are without access to school meals.

This month, we are planning to continue to serve an increased number of clients and distribute track-out bags.

Thank you!

Thanks so much to our community providing food and monetary donations to meet the need.

Thanks to our volunteers who keep donations sorted and packed, make deliveries, keep our garden going, greet clients, load food into vehicles, and shop for needed groceries.

Donating food?

Thank you! The Food Cupboard is able to receive food on Mondays, 9-11 a.m. (this is our preferred time) and Thursdays, noon-5 p.m. Place donations on our delivery dock on the side of our facility and knock to allow for safe distancing. Or, give us a call and we can meet you to pick up food from your neighborhood.

Our most needed items include broth, jelly, dry beans, canned meats with pop tops, sides, shelf stable milk, cereal, and soup, or money to purchase those items.

Do you need food assistance? Know someone who does?

Please visit us. These are unprecedented circumstances, and we are here to help. We have converted our distribution to drive-through, which allows distancing so you can remain in your car. Deliveries are available to senior citizens and persons with compromised health or without transportation. Please email or call (919) 577-2210 and leave a clear message with a phone number where you may be reached if you would like to request a delivery.

The Cupboard is distributing track-out bags with kid-friendly snacks and food items every two weeks while schools are closed.

Beauty and creativity abound around the Holly Springs Food Cupboard where milkweed, edgeworthia, columbine, torch lily / red hot poker, yellow baptisia / false indigo, and other plants grow.

Thank you, Operation BBQ Relief and Chick-fil-A!

We are excited that the families we serve will benefit from a delivery of frozen family meals by Operation BBQ Relief

Thanks to Chick-fil-A of Holly Springs for providing dinner for our Thursday distribution volunteers last week.

10th Anniversary Celebration Postponed

The Holly Springs Food Cupboard had been planning a 10th Anniversary celebration this June at the Leslie Alford Mims House, which had donated their space for the event. Due to the current health crisis, we are postponing this celebration.
